Why refinish furniture?
Why spend the money to fix something old and beat up when you can spend less and buy it new? Because that old, worn chair (or table or bed…) is somebody’s grandpa’s or aunt's or best friend's. Because it was loved. Because it was built well, with quality that's hard to find these days. It has history, a legacy you can’t buy at a big box store. And it’s worth it to continue the legacy - for your family or for somebody else’s.
That’s why we do what we do. Fixing furniture might seem silly to some in our disposable society. But isn’t it significant to fix something, to keep it alive, to bring some joy to your home and your heart? We at JKB Refinish put our hearts into every project we do. Who are we?
We are Jonah & Kaitlyn Brunetti, formerly from Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Kaitlyn started her own furniture refinishing and painting business in Rhode Island in 2014. After getting married a few years later, we relocated to Merritt, NC.
After noticing a lack of skilled craftspeople with a background in furniture refinishing and restoration, we decided to open up shop here in Pamlico County, NC. In 2020, we officially formed JKB Refinish. And we're so glad we did! Jonah's background in electronics and machining coupled with Kaitlyn's background in furniture painting and restoration is an excellent combination. From technical repairs to artistically executed colors and finishes, quality is our number one priority.

Paint, stain, stripping off the old layers and putting on the new - we'll plan your project with you so you'll love the final result. We even do custom repurpose and build projects. If you can imagine it, we'll work with you to create it. Even if your project doesn't technically fall into the realm of "furniture", let us know what you're thinking and we may be able to work that out with you as well.
We aim to provide a superior client experience from start to finish. Communication is important to us at JKB Refinish - we answer the phone when we can and when we can't, we respond to your voicemail, text message or e-mail promptly. We're excited to work on your next project with you!
